About an hour after the 2016 budget proposal was declared missing in the National Assembly, Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki appeared in the State House to see President Muhammadu Buhari.
Saraki held a closed-door meeting with the President in his office for about 30 minutes.
He however declined to speak to State House correspondents on the missing Budget proposal.
When asked to speak on the matter, Saraki simply exclaimed “Ha, ha, ha,” and entered his vehicle.
Senate Leader, Ali Ndume had earlier told his colleagues in a closed-door session that both the soft and hard copies of the budget were missing.
The Senators could not therefore commence scheduled deliberations on the proposal.
At the meeting, the lawmakers agreed to liaise with the executive arm so that a fresh copy of the budget proposal would be sent to the National Assembly.
