The Police Service Commission (PSC) on Wednesday unveiled internet portals for the recruitment of 10,000 police following directives by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The portals are www.psc.gov.ng or www.npf.gov.ng.
A statement issued by the spokesman of the Police Service Commission, Mr. Ikechukwun Ani, said the portals would be opened to interested candidates on April 1, 2016.
According to the statement, the portals were unveiled by the chairman of the commission, Mr. Mike Okiro at a ceremony in Abuja.
The statement said there would be no charges for the processing of the forms that would be accessed via the online portals.
“We are not charging money. It is free, absolutely free,” the statement quoted chaiman of the PSC as saying.
The statement also quoted the PSC chairman as saying that the exercise would be remarkable since there has not been recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force for more than five years due to financial constraints.
