Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has taken over the Federal Government’s negotiation team with the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, disclosed this to State House correspondents after Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.
Recent negotiations with the striking lecturers headed by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, have ended in stalemate.
Ngige also blamed the private sector for the delay in announcing the Chairman of the Minimum Wage Review Committee.
The minister claimed that they were ready and will announce Chairman of the Committee when all the names of representatives of the private sector are submitted.
