The Nigerian Super Eagles have climbed from the 70th to 67th position in the latest ranking released by world football governing body, FIFA on Thursday.
Nigeria still did not make the top 10 list in Africa. Nigeria places 16th in Africa with 513 points, behind Guinea, Uganda, South Africa and Congo.
Algeria, Ghana and Ivory Coast still maintain their top three positions on the continent. Argentina retained its number one spot with 1585 points, followed by Belgium with 1401 points.
Colombia clinched 1331 points to sit on third place. Germany, Chile, Portugal, France, Spain, Brazil and Italy are in the top 10.
