The suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has said he is not aware of his suspension.
Lawal said in an interview with State House correspondents on Wednesday after meeting Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo that he had not been served any letter of suspension or seen a copy of the press statement.
President Buhari had ordered his suspension and an investigation into the allegations of violations of law and due process made against Lawal in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE).
A three-man Committee comprising the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, and the National Security Adviser, headed by the Vice President, was also set up to investigate the matter.
Lawal told journalists that he had not been informed about his suspension, adding that his visit to Osinbajo was routine.
He had earlier asked ‘who is the Presidency’ when asked if he was aware that the Presidency had suspended him.
