The Federal Executive Council has approved contracts worth N900m for engineering and infrastructure design in different parts of the Federal Capital Territory.
Briefing State House correspondents after Wednesday’s meeting chaired by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, the Minister of FCT, Mohammed Bello, said the approval was in line with government’s plans to tackle the capital city’s infrastructure deficit.
The approval, according to him was given for Ring Road B, which passes through Kubwa Expressway, Airport Road, Southern Expressway and the Wasa District at a cost of 242 million naira.
The minister added that the contract for water treatment and connecting pipelines to the Abuja Water Master Plan was also approved at a cost of 233 million naira.
