The Presidency said on Monday that President Muhammadu Buhari is yet to receive the 2018 budget transmitted to him by the National Assembly.
Responding to enquiries on when the President would sign the budget, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said the document was received at the Presidential Villa at the close of work on Friday.
“This document was handed to Senator Enang, the SSA National Assembly after the close of offices on Friday six-and-a-half months after it was handed to the parliament, precisely November 7, 2017.
“The bill as passed by the National Assembly was received here on Saturday because the office of the Chief of Staff operates at weekends,” he said.
