Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has appointed former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo, as his Senior Special Assistant on Sports Development.
The governor also appointed Chibuzor Aholu as Senior Special Assistant on financial matters. A statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, said the appointments take immediate effect.
Yobo led the Super Eagles to victory at the African Cup of Nations in 2013 and played 101 times for the country.
