Indications emerged on Tuesday that the newly appointed Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Paul Le Guen may have rejected his appointment.
Paul Le Guen who was on Monday named by Technical and Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation was expected to lead the Super Eagles qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup, against Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia.
It was said that he refused the employment because the Nigeria Football Federation NFF failed to meet his terms and conditions.
The findings was made available on the Twitter handle of a renowned French sports correspondent, L’ Euipe, Herve Penot who wrote on his twitter handle that : “Pour info : Paul le Guen n’ira pas au Nigeria. Les conditions pas réunies pour être sélectionneur. Rien à voir aujourd’hui avec la sélection” which is translated to mean: ”Paul Le Guen rejects Nigeria. Frenchman insists the country’s FA (NFF) yet to meet terms & conditions to be coach.”
Efforts to reach the Glass House for clarifications did not yield immediate results as at press time.
