An MSF nurse examines the lungs of a TB/HIV co-infected patient in Chiradzulu District Hospital, Malawi.
Since 1999 MSF works in the hospital of the Chiradzulu district, taking care of opportunistic deiseases linked with HIV and to prevent mother to child transmission of the HIV virus. Since August 2001, HIV/AIDS patients are treated with ARVs. Our objective for 2006 is to increase the number of admissions so that we can offer ARV treatment to those who need it.
