The Mozum Concerned Youths Advocacy group has expressed sadness over the passing of Governor Yahaya Bello’s mother, Hajiya Hauwau Oziohu Bello.
The group in a condolence statement jointly signed by its president, Suleiman Baba Ibrahim, and vice president, Hamza Mohammed, commiserated with the governor and urged him to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a long, fulfilled life that saw all her children become successful in her lifetime.
The statement read in full:
“There is indeed time for everything. A time to come and a time to go. A time to be born and a time to die. It is often said that the number of years a person spends on earth doesn’t matter as much as the impact the person has on others and the value he or she adds to mankind in general. Therefore, anyone who enjoys a long, peaceful life and combines it with a great impact on people around him or her must be a rare angel with special blessing from Allah.
“It is on this note that we the leaders and members of Mozum Concerned Youths Advocacy commiserate with His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, on the passing of his mother, Hajiya Hauwau Oziohu Bello.
“The deceased was indeed a worthy mother of the state, an astute women and community leader who never discriminated against anyone, a consummate humanist whose acts and words of kindness would remain immortal.
“We are calling on Governor Bello to take solace in the eventful and long life Allah (SWT) gave to his angelic mother.
“She was indeed a mother to be proud of, having brought up a lot of successful children and the crowning glory of Allah‘s blessing on her life was the fact that in her twilight she witnessed her own child become the two-term Governor of Kogi state. Not only that, she lived long enough in sound health to see her grand children and great grand children.
“Your Excellency, despite her remarkably long and successful life, anyone who loses a mother will feel that sense of loss because mothers are irreplaceable. That is why we mourn with you and your family at this trying time.
“We pray to God to give you, your siblings and the entire family and friends of Hajiya Hauwau the strength to bear this loss.
“We equally pray Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljanah Firdaus.”
