The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has appointed 15 commissioner nominees. This is contained in a statement released on Wednesday night in Lokoja by the spokesperson to the governor, Abdulkarim Abdulmalik. The nominees are Abdulmumini Sadiq from Adavi Local Government Area, Saka Haruna, Ajaokuta; Sanusi Haruna, Ankpa; Tim Dichie, Bassa, while Enema Paul is from Dekina.
Others are Tolorunleke Sunday, Ijumu; Oloruntoba Kehinde, Kabba/Bunu; Mohammed Awal, Kogi/ Koton Karfe; Bolanle Amupitan, Mopa Muro; Arome Adoji, Ofu; Salisu Ogu, Idah; and Salami Ozigi, Okehi. Mohammed Ibrahim, Rosemary Osikoya, and Idris Asiwaju from Okene, Olamaboro and Yagba East respectively were also appointed.
The governor, who also appointed eight s pecial a dvisers, has forwarded the list of the nominees to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
