The embattled spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olisa Metuh, has finally met his bail conditions and regained his freedom.
Metuh is facing trial for allegedly collecting N400 million illegally from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
Metuh was arrested by four operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from his Abuja home on January 5 and has since remained in detention.
Metuh and his firm, Destra Investment Limited, were charged before the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court over alleged N400 million fraud.
The charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/05/2016, was signed by the Assistant Director, Legal & Prosecution Department of the EFCC, Mr. Sylvanus Tahir.
The court granted him bail on a N400 million bond, and N200 million each from two sureties.
The court also said the two sureties must have properties within the Maitama area of Abuja.
On Wednesday, Justice Okon Abang, who gave the initial order, said assets from other parts of Abuja would also be accepted.
