The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday raided a house in Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos recovering about N11,661,314,000 in cash.
The cash recovered were in different currencies comprising
$43m, N23m and £27,000.
EFCC sources said the identity of the owner of the funds is yet to be ascertained but the recovery was made due to a tip-off from a whistle-blower who, in line with government policy, will be entitled to receive at least N500m.
With the latest recovery, the total cash recovery made by the EFCC in Lagos alone in the last one week is about N12,360,814,000 billion while the amount traced to secret accounts is up to N4 billion.
