Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have raided the Abuja offices of the immediate past Vice President, Namadi Sambo.
The offices located in the heart of the city were said to have been raided as part of efforts to obtain evidences of Sambo’s alleged involvement in the $2.1 billion arms procurement scandal.
According to EFCC sources, Sambo is being investigated over allegations that some of the funds disbursed for political campaigns under the former NSA, Sambo Dasuki were allegedly routed through the VP’s office.
