The Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has raised alarm over the exhorbitant cost of the contract awarded for the construction of the official residence of the vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
Melaye who heads the Senate committee on FCT, said in a press conference on Thursday that the gatehouse of three-bedroomed residence alone will cost 250 million naira.
He said lawmakers could call for a review of the contract which is being carried out by Julius Berger.
He also described the cost of the official residence being constructed for the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, as inflated.
