President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday travel to London for the continuation of treament for “a persistent ear infection”.
The President who has struggled with the condition for about two weeks will according to his spokesman, Femi Adesina be in London for 10 days.
While the President has missed three consecutive official trips to Lagos, Rivers and Senegal due to the infection, Adesina’s statement however said he is merely going to London to rest after undergoing treatment in Abuja.
“President Muhammadu Buhari will take ten days off and travel to London on Monday, June 6, 2016, to rest.
During the holiday, he will see an E.N.T Specialist for a persistent ear infection. The President was examined by his Personal Physician and an E.N.T Specialist in Abuja, and was treated.
Both Nigerian doctors recommended further evaluation purely as a precaution,” the statement read.
