President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday approved the appointment of Rivers State gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 general elections, Dr Dakuku Peterside as the Director General of the Nigerian Maritime administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja by the Director of Public Relations in the Ministry of Transportation, Yetunde Sonaike.
The statement said the appointment was with immediate effect.
Peterside, a former member of House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015, holds a Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences (B.MLS) in Hematology from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, MBA in Business Administration and Doctorate Degree in Management Science from the University of Port Harcourt.
