President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a retired Lieutenant Colonel, Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah, as the new Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for a first tenure of five years.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. David Lawal Babachir.
The statement said Abdallah’s appointment takes effect from January 11, 2016.
The new NDLEA boss holds a Certificate of Education from Nigeria Defence Academy in 1977 and a Bachelor’s Degree in American Politics and Government from Sam Houston State University, USA, and an M. A. Public Administration, LLB and LLM Degrees from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.
Born in Hong, Adamawa State on November 13, 1954, Abdallah is a professional security officer with over three decades experience.
