President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Abike Dabiri-Erewa as his Senior Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.
She received her letter in the State House few minutes ago.
Born in Jos, Plateau, Ms. Dabiri-Erewa represented Ikorodu Federal Constituency of Lagos State at the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011.
She was a staff of Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for fifteen years, anchoring the weekly NTA Newsline programme.
Ms Dabiri-Erewa attended Maryland Private School, Maryland, Ikeja for her primary school education, and St. Teresa’s College, Ibadan for her secondary education. She obtained her first degree in English Language from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University OAU) Ile – Ife.
She also obtained a post graduate diploma in Mass Communication and masters degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, Akoka.
