Former Senate President and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. David Mark has been declared winner of the Benue South rerun election held Saturday after polling a total of 84,192 votes.
Mark defeated his main challenger, Mr. Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 71,621 votes.
The results were announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Professor Ishaku Enigi, who announced the results said Mark won in five local government areas while Onjeh won in four.
