The incumbent chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has won the area council election.
He won with a margin of 17,785 votes.
The area council returning officer, Prof Muhammadu Umaru Ndagi of Department of Linguistics, University of Abuja, said Adamu won after he polled a total votes of 53,538.
Princess Vivian Anazodo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with 35, 753 votes.
