Obasanjo, Jonathan in closed-door meeting

Former presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday met for behind closed-doors.

The photos of their meeting, which were shared by Bolanle Cole on her Twitter handle, @bolanle_cole showed the former presidents chatting in the presence of Bayelsa state governor, Henry Seriake Dickson.

The former first lady, Patience Jonathan also appeared in the photos.

She wrote: “In the early hours of this morning, Former President, Obasanjo met with Former President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan in a closed-door meeting.”

Obasanjo is meeting with Jonathan at his residence in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Obasanjo arrived the state on Tuesday for the first summit on Infant and maternal mortality in Yenagoa hosted by the Bayelsa State government.

The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Daniel Iworiso-Markson disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

Markson said that the summit will have Obasanjo, Vice President of Liberia, Mrs Jewel Howard Taylor, as the Chairman and Special Guest of Honour respectively.

He said that the state government was also expecting other very important personalities from outside the country including the former Speaker of the Gambian National Assembly/Deputy Speaker, ECOWAS Parliament, Hon. Fatoumatta Jahumpa Ceesay at the summit.
