Osinbajo extends 2017 N-Power application

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has extended the 2017 N-Power application by two weeks, Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation, Afolabi Imoukhuede, said in a statement on Sunday.

The application portal would now close on July 27, 2017.

Already about 2.45 million graduates phave applied for the second batch of the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP), meant to absorbed additional 300,000.

The first batch engaged 200,000 young Nigerians in the N-Power Volunteer Corps Programme. The portal for N-Power to engage additional 300,000 into the 2017/2018 phase was reopened on June 13.

The 200,000 young Nigerians, in partnership with state governments, were deployed in public primary schools, primary healthcare centres and agriculture development project centres in all the local government areas in Nigeria.

The Acting President assured Nigerians that the selection process for the second batch would match the first as it would be characterised by transparency.
