President Muhammadu Buhari would on Wednesday meet with seven representatives of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) in London, United Kingdom, Senior Special Assistant Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Shehu Garba, has said.

“The visit is a good will visit and there is nothing more than that. They will leave tonight, arrive tomorrow and meet President Buhari by 3pm tomorrow,” Shehu told State House correspondents on Tuesday.

He said the team drawn from the six geo-political zone of the country would be led by NGF chairman, Governor Abdullazeez Yari of Zamfara state.

The governors are Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state, Abdullahi Umar Gandoje of Kano state, Kassim Shettima of Borno state, Samuel Ortom of Benue state, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state and Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state.

When asked why Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state was not part of the delegation, Shehu said the selection was done by the governors forum and not the federal government.

On why the President is yet to address Nigerians but was receiving delegation in London, Shehu said “it’s question of what he prefers and if he opts for address option he will do so.”
