The Katsina state Judicial Commission of Inquiry has declared that over N55 billion was either missing or unaccounted for under the immediate past administration of Ibrahim Shehu Shema.

The commission was set up by Governor Aminu Masari in 2016 to investigate loss of funds and properties under Shema.

Chairman of the Commission, Barrister Ado Mohammed Ma’aji, who put the figure at N55, 984, 273, 521 billion disclosed this while submitting the report to the governor on Friday.

Ma’aji recommended that all those indicted be prosecuted and made to refund the money.

The governor vowed to recover the money, saying N55bn in the life of a state like Katsina was huge.
