President Muhammadu Buhari is again absent at the State House Council Chambers, venue of the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is presiding over the meeting which started at about 11am and is ongoing at the time of filing this report.

This is the third time Osinbajo will be presiding over the meeting in recent times in the absence of his boss who has not been seen in public in recent weeks

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, had claimed to have met the President on Tuesday and that they discussed the delay in passing some anti-graft bills by the National Assembly.

The President’s wife, Aisha Buhari, also used her social media pages to claim that her husband’s illness had been exaggerated in some quarters, adding that the President had been performing his official duties effectively.

“I wish to inform everyone that his health is not as bad as it’s being perceived. Meanwhile, he continues to carry out his responsibilities during this period,” she wrote on Tuesday.
