The management of English giants, Manchester United, has announced plans to honour the seven Nigerians who lost their lives while supporting the club recently in Calabar, Cross River state.

In a twitter post on Friday, the club said it would remember the dead fans by making sure the players wear black armbands  when they host Swansea City at old Trafford on Sunday.

The fans died while watching the Red Devils’ Europa League quarter final second leg clash against Anderlecht played at Old Trafford.

The accident happened when  a transformer near the viewing centre where they were watching the match exploded twice. A high tension wire dropped on the structure built with zinc electrocuting them.
