President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed gratitude to Nigerians and restated his determination to continue to work for the overall development of Nigeria despite his state of health.

Though he said he was “feeling much better now,” after the medical treatment, the President said “there may, however, be need to have further followups within some weeks.”

He appealed to Nigerians, especially the political class, to refrian from sending delegations to welcome him, adding that what he needed most at this critial time is for “all Nigerians to continue to pray for our country’s unity, progress and prosperity.”
