Buhari presides over FEC meeting

President Muhammadu Buhari is presiding over  the meeting of the Federal Executive Council for the first time since he returned to the country on Friday.

The President had spent 49 days in London as part of  his extended medical break.

The meeting started at 10am when President Buhari arrived the Council Chambers of the State House, venue of the meeting.

After the rendition of the National anthem, the President told Minister of Mines and Solid Minerals, Kayode Fayemi, for the opening Christian prayer.

After Fayemi’s prayer, Buhari looked around and said “I haven’t seen Lai.”

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, responded “I’m here sir.”

He then asked him to say the opening prayer in the Islamic way.

The minister prayed for more strength and wisdom for the President to continue his good work and for a fruitful deliberation.
