The Senate has once again rejected the nomination of Ibrahim Magu as the substantive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Magu appeared before the lawmakers on Wednesday for screening.

After hours of grilling, President of the Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, asked him to take a bow and go without confirming him.

Senator Dino Melaye (APC Kogi West) had during the proceedings announced that the State State Services sent another indicting letter to the Senate, calling on the lawmakers to reject his nomination.

The SSS had in an earlier letter to the Senate said Magu is unfit for the job, which led to his rejection by the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
