Yobe restricts vehicular movement on Sallah day

The Yobe State Government on Sunday announced restriction of vehicular movement in all parts of the state from 6:00am to 2:00pm on Monday, September 12, 2016 as Muslims mark the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Press Affairs to Governor Ibrahim Geidam, Mr. Abdullahi Bego.

RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR MOVEMENT ON EID-EL-KABIR (SALLAH) DAY

This is to inform the public that following meetings with heads of law enforcement agencies, the Yobe State Government has approved the placement of restriction on vehicular movement throughout the state from 6.00AM to 2.00PM on Monday 12th September 2016.

The eight-hour restriction is placed as part of measures to ensure public safety as we mark the Eid on Monday.

The public is kindly advised that security agents across the State will not allow any form of vehicular movement for the duration of the restriction.

His Excellency Governor Ibrahim Gaidam wishes all the people of the state happy and peaceful Eid el-Kabir celebrations.
