Buhari, Osinbajo, APC govs to attend Edo 2016 grand rally

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Tuesday attend the grand finale of the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial campaign rally in Benin.

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and governors elected on the platform of the APC are also expected to grace the rally ahead of the election scheduled for Saturday.

The Chairman of the All
Progressives Congress, APC, in
Edo State, Anselm Ojezua, made this announcement to journalists on Monday.

Ojezua said the National
Campaign Council for the election 
headed by Governor Akinwumi
 Ambode of Lagos state was
already in Benin to prepare
 grounds for the rally, scheduled to take place at the 
Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium,
Benin.

“All logistics to ensure free
movement of the visitors and 
party supporters across the state
have also been perfected.

“Anytime APC is holding rally,
there is always mass mobilisation.
“Once the people know that the president is
 coming this time around, our people will be so 
excited to receive him,” he said.

He called on the people, in
respective of party affiliation, to come out 
enmasse to welcome the President to the state.

The President is expected to raise the hands of Godwin Obaseki who is flying the party’s flag against Osagie Ize-Iyamu who is contesting on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party.

Incumbent governor, Adams Oshiomole’s second term ends later this year.
