An indigene of Imo State, Barrister Okezie was part of the five new political appointees made by the Governor on Wednesday.

Justina Abanida from Yagba West Local government area, Chairman, Kogi State Universal Basic Education, SUBEB, and Alhaji Yakubu Oseni from Okene Local government area as Chairman, Kogi State Board of Internal Revenue.
The statement also announced Architect Robert Achanya as Director- General, Bureau of Public Private Partnership while Mr. Emmanuel Odiniya who hails from Olamaboro Local government area is to serve as Chairman, Bureau of Local Government Pension.

In a similar development, Governor Bello  has also ordered that the state Head of Service, Dr Moses Atakpa be  placed on 30-day compulsory leave.

There is however a widely held belief within Lokoja, the state capital that the embattled Head of Service may not return to office.

The same fate befell some Permanent Secretaries, Treasurers, and other top civil servants whose similar 30-day compulsory leave expired recently but were not allowed to return to office.
